One of a handful of women with experience running a major government enterprise; first African American woman elected to a major American city (Washington, D.C.); first woman elected an officer to the Potomac Electric Power Company(Pepco; founder and Manager of Pratt Consulting.

Financial Services

Led massive management reforms allowing Washington, D.C. to reclaim financial credibility; founding Director of the Home Preservation Exchange, a nonprofit exchange consisting of states, nonprofits and private sector stakeholders focused on acquiring delinquent notes to advance neighborhood stabilization; serves on Advisory Board of Homestrings.com (portal for aggregating investments of retail investors interested in in well vetted emerging market opportunities).

Health Care

Initiated the Public Benefits Corporation for the purpose of redefining the city’s public health strategies and obligations; launched ground-breaking solutions to curb HIV/AIDS epidemic; worked with CHF International on a USAID project advancing infrastructure solutions to combat HIV/AIDS in Africa.

Energy

Served as an executive and officer at Pepco (served during challenging years of the world oil embargo); served as a Senior Advisor to Bermuda’s Minister of Energy for purposes of assisting government in developing sustainable energy policies.
